Children’s Sunday will be May 18th!  The students will be rehearsing for the service during Sunday School that morning.   There are a lot of good reasons to attend church that day: certificates for staff and students as well as bibles for the second graders!  It also will highlight some of the positive things that can happen when the Sunday School is in charge!  Plus, there will be an ice cream social in the Coit Room following the service!

Please note, Children’s Sunday marks the end of the Sunday School year for 2007-2008.  Summer worship hours begin the following Sunday (May 25th) with the service starting at 9:30 a.m.

Thank you very much for your support this year!  We had an exciting year in Sunday School!  I look forward to seeing everyone again next year!

Finally, are you thinking about summer and Vacation Bible School?  It is just around the corner!  The theme this summer is “God’s Big Backyard.”  Join us for the week of July 7th, while we learn about how to serve God!  The program will be offered to children ages three through high school from 9:00 a.m. until noon during the weekday with an evening Closing program at 7 p.m. on Friday.  Student registration forms are available in the church office and on-line.  If you register by June 8th, you can take $5 off the registration fee for the single child or family rate!  WOW!

Volunteer positions for VBS teachers, teaching assistants, and snack helpers are available as well!  Each year we need at least nineteen volunteers to run our VBS program!  So, can you help?  Safe Church and VBS training will be in June.
