2021 Walk to End Homelessness
Over the past couple of years, First Church of Griswold has been participating in the New London Urban Outreach Program. Many of us have joined Pastor Sara at one of the many dinner parties held at First Church of New London. The dinner parties provide a chance to learn about homelessness and allow us to share a meal with guests who currently call The New London Homeless Hospitality Center their home. The NLHHC serves all of New London County so our Griswold community benefits from the services they provide.
This June 27th is the 14th Annual Walk to End Homelessness in New London CT. See the attached flier and registration sheet. You can also register online.
The 2020 walk had to be held as a virtual event, so we are looking forward to this in person walk with friends.
The Stewardship committee and other church members are going to participate in the walk and we’re looking for others to join our team. “Team Griswold” is trying to raise $1,000.00 for the cause. Help us reach our goal and get some exercise at the same time. If you can’t be there, you can help by sponsoring someone who can. Call the church at 860-376-2682.
